The leaked clip, shared by a user named Ter-Lee-Comedy on the Battlefield subreddit, shows guns getting dirty during a battle. The user also shared a picture comparing a clean weapon from the Battlefield 6 open beta to one covered in grime from the playtest. The difference is clear, with the weapon looking heavily coated in mud.
Immersive Feature Enhances Realism
This mud and dirt effect is just for looks and doesn’t change how the game plays, but fans love it because it makes battles feel more real. However, since this feature was seen in a playtest, it’s not guaranteed to be in the final game.
Return of Classic Battlefield Elements
Battlefield 6 is also bringing back other things fans enjoyed in older games, like more destructible buildings and environments, which were missing in Battlefield 2042. The game is shaping up to be a true follow-up to Battlefield 3 and 4.
