Skoda is all set to unveil the updated Kushaq SUV in India on January 20, 2026. This is the first major refresh for the popular compact SUV since its launch in 2021. The Kushaq facelift brings fresh looks, more features, and better tech to stay competitive against rivals like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate.
What’s New on the Outside?
The facelifted Kushaq gets a bolder design. Expect redesigned front and rear bumpers, new LED headlights with connected DRLs, and sequential turn indicators. At the back, there will be L-shaped taillights linked by an LED light bar and an illuminated “SKODA” badge. These changes give it a modern and premium look.
Inside the Cabin: More Comfort and Tech
Skoda is adding several exciting features to make the Kushaq more appealing:
- A large panoramic sunroof for an open-sky feel.
- Ventilated front seats to stay cool in hot weather.
- A bigger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Fully digital instrument cluster (up to 10.25 inches).
- 360-degree camera for easy parking.
- Physical buttons returning for climate controls (replacing touch ones).
- Possible rear seat massage function in top variants – a rare feature in this segment.
Safety gets a big boost with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) on higher trims. This includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and more.
Engine and Performance: No Big Changes
The powertrain stays the same:
- 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine: 115 hp power, paired with 6-speed manual or automatic.
- 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine: 150 hp power, with manual or 7-speed DSG automatic.
Some reports suggest better suspension tuning for smoother rides and possible rear disc brakes on higher variants.
Expected Price
The current Kushaq starts at around ₹10.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift may see a slight price increase due to new features, likely starting from ₹11-12 lakh.
This update helps the Skoda Kushaq compete better in the crowded compact SUV market. If you’re looking for a safe, fun-to-drive SUV with European build quality, the new Kushaq could be worth waiting for!
