Activision has confirmed big news for fans of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. The game’s servers will shut down forever on April 17, 2026. After this date, you won’t be able to play the game anymore.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile launched on March 21, 2024, as a free battle royale game for phones (iOS and Android). It brought popular maps like Verdansk and Rebirth Island to mobile players, with the same action-packed feel as the PC and console versions.
But the game did not do as well as expected, especially with people who play mostly on mobile. In May 2025, Activision removed it from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. They also stopped new updates, new seasons, social features, and buying things with real money.
Now, the final step is coming. On April 17, 2026, the servers go offline completely.
What Happens If You Still Have the Game Installed?
- You can keep playing until April 17, 2026.
- All your old in-game items and content will work until the end.
- Guest accounts will stop working after shutdown.
- Your Activision account will still work for other Call of Duty games and websites.
What About COD Points (In-Game Money)?
- You can still spend any leftover COD Points in the store until the shutdown date.
- No new purchases with real money are possible (stopped in May 2025).
- Activision will not give refunds for unused COD Points or past purchases.
Activision said they are proud of bringing a real Call of Duty experience to phones, but it did not match the success of the PC/console versions with mobile-first players. They thanked the community and developers for their support.
The company will now focus fully on Call of Duty: Mobile, which continues to get new seasons, multiplayer, battle royale, zombies mode, and more updates.
If you enjoy Call of Duty on your phone, Call of Duty: Mobile is still going strong and will be the main mobile option going forward.
This is sad news for Warzone Mobile fans, but it gives everyone a couple more months to jump in and enjoy the remaining time. Play while you can!
