Pricing Details Still to Come
The price of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) hasn’t been shared yet, but Take-Two Interactive, the company behind the game, wants to make sure players get more value than what they pay for. In an interview with Variety, Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, said Rockstar Games will announce the price “in due time.”
Speculation on Costs
Zelnick avoided giving exact numbers when asked about GTA 6’s cost. There’s been talk about whether the game might cost $80 or even $100 because of its huge scope and long development time. Instead of confirming a price, Zelnick mentioned that games often start with a higher price, sometimes with special editions, and then get cheaper over time. This could be the plan for GTA 6.
Grand Theft Auto’s Success
Take-Two also shared that Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold over 215 million copies, and the entire Grand Theft Auto series has sold nearly 455 million copies.
Trailers Build Hype
Rockstar Games hasn’t revealed the price yet, but they’ve released two trailers for GTA 6. The first got 93 million views in 24 hours, and the second topped that with 475 million views in a day.
Release Date
Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on May 26, 2026.
